RNEDA Ramey Nutrition Eating Disorder Awareness: Anorexia

It is striking to realize that nearly half of all Americans personally have or know someone with an eating disorder. It is not uncommon for people suffering from anorexia to deny having a problem and it may be difficult to notice the signs of anorexia.

Anorexic signs and symptoms may include: dramatic weight loss, skipping meals, not wanting to eat in public, and fixation on body image. Anorexia can lead to fatal medical conditions including heart disease, liver disease and even heart failure.

People who suffer from anorexia can be treated and moved from the painful, self-destructive pattern of this disease to a life they are proud to direct through the programs at Ramey Nutrition.  For more than 4 years Ramey Nutrition has provided outpatient intensive real world treatment and support for women, men and children of all ages going through the journey toward full recovery.

Our eating disorder programs are highly flexible and individualized to meet exact needs, regardless of coexisting conditions or stage of change. Located in the heart of the University District, each person is set up with a multi-disciplinary team of professionals dedicated to helping them become, what Ramey Nutrition calls recovered.
